How do I find the right provider for me?

  • Explore our network of provider profiles and familiarize yourself with their professional profiles and websites.

  • Many of them will provide a free consultation call prior to scheduling an appointment to answer any questions you may have and see if their services could be of benefit to you.

  • Reach out to one provider or several and find the one that meets your wellness, scheduling and financial needs best.

    1. Remember that every provider is not going to be the best fit for you - so take some time in exploring their pages, asking the questions and ensuring safety for your healing journey.

What type of providers are at b.mindful Louisville?

Our network of providers are skilled in what they do - each specializing in their own area and caring for their clients in their own unique way.

Mental Health: Psychotherapist: Licensed Psychotherapist (LPCC, LCSW, MFT, LPAT…) and Psychologist (PhD, PsyD) and prescribers Psychiatrist (MD/DO) and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP, PMHNP)

  • What are the benefits to therapy? - Counseling may improve your ability to relate with others, provide a clearer understanding of yourself, your values, and your goals, and it often helps relieve stress immediately. Along with these benefits, counseling will also involve discussing the unpleasant parts of your life, and you may experience uncomfortable feelings during these moments. But remember that using the awareness of one’s pain can aid the healing process and result in better relationships with yourself and others.

  • Why can’t I just talk to a family member or friend? - A friend or family member is not professionally trained to help you grow, heal, and change. It’s likely that your friends and family have been giving you their best advice for some time now, but you need another set of eyes on the matter. Whereas a friend might give advice based on their personal relationship with you or based on their own life experience, a therapist is interested in helping you find your own answers by helping you to connect with what is true and right for you. They are committed to maintaining an unbiased and judgement-free position in the room. There is nothing wrong with seeking out additional support from a trained professional when needed.

  • How long should I be in therapy for? - The therapeutic process varies from person to person. Many presenting concerns can be dealt with in a brief period of time, but this is not always the case. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula to determine how long counseling will take. During the therapeutic process, you and the provider will frequently check in on your progress towards goals and will be continually evaluating your need for counseling.

  • How do I know that the information shared in therapy will remain confidential? - The law protects the privacy of all communications between a client and a counselor. In most situations, the provider can only release information about the professional relationship if you sign a written authorization form.

Nutrition: Registered Dietitians (RD)

  • What do dietitians do? - Counsel patients on nutrition issues and advise people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal.

Holistic practices: Reiki, coaching, product sales

  • What is holistic healing?- Form of healing that considers the whole person - body, mind, spirit and emotions - in the quest for optimal health and wellness.

  • What is Reiki? - Commonly referred to as energy healing - involves the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to their clients bodies.

and more…
